Mental health evaluation ordered for Tiverton murder suspect

Joel Beaulieu shuffled into District Court Tuesday, his wrists and ankles chained, to be charged with the murder of his father and the attempted murder of his mother. He was ordered held at the Adult Correctional Institutions pending a bail hearing on Sept. 14. Judge Pamela Woodcock-Pfeiffer also ordered him to undergo a mental health evaluation to determine if he is competent to stand trial.
