Back in June, volunteer dentists from all over the state and beyond gathered at Bloomington's Interstate Center for two days, providing free dental care to almost 2,000 people. * National organizers called Illinois' first-ever Mission of Mercy dental clinic the largest first-time event in the country. A thousand volunteers, including 300 dentists, gave free dental care worth almost $1 million.
